Since college in the late 1960's, I have explored many types of photography -- black and white, color slide, travel, nature / landscape, underwater, large format, macro, and portrait. Until 2004, I shot almost exclusively color slides, and since then, my work has become 100% digital.
Photo Galleries included in Shades Of Nature Photography include a little bit of everything, but by in large, you will see both underwater and above water travel images from exotic dive destinations across the globe to numerous scenic areas in the United States.
Home Gallery: Since moving to Cookeville, TN, in March 2011, we have seen wildlike, especially deer in the large wooded area that runs behind our small subdivision and through other neighborhoods. In addition to the deer, we have also occasionaly spotted a couple of foxes. One early morning, one of the foxes was trotting right up the middle of our street, with breakfast dangling from its mouth. I finally captured a picture of the one we have seen the most, sunning himself in one of two undeveloped lots at the entrance of our subdivision. Taken from our next door neighbors side yard, he quickly noticed me, and reluctantly left towards the woods. (Nikon D200 with AF VR-Nikor 80-400mm 1:45-5.6D ED; 1/320 sec at f/11, 400mm)
