A Word About Print Sizes

Most of the images displayed on this web site are as close as possible to the original full-frame aspect ratio my camera produces (approximately a 2x3 ratio). For example, this ratio results in print sizes of 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, etc. For standard print sizes, for example 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, and 16x20, the original image must be cropped to achieve the new aspect ration, resulting in a loss of some of the image. As an example, to create a standard 16x20 enlargement, the image will first be sized to 16x24, then cropped by cutting off a total of 4" on the long side (one side or the other, or both).

For aesthetic reasons, some images may be more condusive to cropping than others. Based on your needs, I can easily email images in different aspect ratios to show you the results of cropping.
